Tui Na Massage
Tui Na (pronounced “twee-nah”) is a traditional Chinese therapeutic massage that has been used for thousands of years as part of Chinese medicine. Its origins date back over 2,000 years, making it one of the oldest forms of bodywork. Rooted in the same principles as acupuncture, Tui Na works with the body’s energy pathways, or meridians, to restore balance and support natural healing.
This treatment involves a combination of rhythmic massage techniques, acupressure, gentle stretching, and joint mobilisation. Using the hands, fingers, elbows, and sometimes forearms, we apply a range of techniques tailored to your individual needs—these may be soothing and relaxing or more focused and deep, depending on what your body requires.
Tui Na is both a therapeutic and restorative treatment. It is commonly used to help relieve musculoskeletal issues such as back, neck, and shoulder pain, as well as stiffness and tension. It can also support conditions such as headaches, stress, fatigue, digestive concerns, and poor sleep. By improving the flow of energy and circulation throughout the body, Tui Na helps to promote overall balance, relaxation, and wellbeing.
Each session is adapted to you, offering not only physical relief but also a moment to reset, restore, and reconnect with your body.
