Cupping

Cupping is a traditional therapy that has been used for thousands of years to support the bodies natural healing processes. Cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction, helping to lift the underlying tissues, encourage circulation and promote relaxation.

Many people find cupping deeply soothing and enjoy the distinctive feeling of relief it can provide, particularly for muscular aches and tension.

What cupping can help with

  • Muscle tension and tightness

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Back pain

  • Sports related muscle soreness

  • Stress and tension

  • Headaches associated with muscle

  • Poor circulation

  • General feelings of fatigue

  • Sleep difficulties such as insomnia by encouraging deep relaxation

Everybody responds differently and every treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

Temporary circular marks may appear after treatment. These are not bruises caused by trauma but a normal response to the suction and usually fade within a few days.

Pain, tension and illness are often believed to arise when Qi and Blood becomes stagnant or blocked. This stagnation may develop due to physical strain, injury, emotional stress, poor posture or other imbalances.

Cupping is used to help move this stagnation, encourage the free flow of Qi and  Blood, and restore balance within the body. As circulation improves and blockages are eased, many people experience reduced discomfort, greater mobility, and an overall sense of well-being.

After treatment, many clients report feeling lighter, more relaxed, and less restricted in their movement.

Cupping is suitable for many people and can be used alongside acupuncture, massage or other complementary therapies as part of a personalised plan.
